NETKOM – IBM software distributor in Russia and CIS (Moscow, Russia) and eQuality Solutions carried out a seminar "IBM Day in Novosibirsk". Representatives of the leading Novosibirsk regional companies, enterprises, and government took part in the event.
 

Seminar was started from the welcome words and presentation about NETKOM by the executive director of the company – Alla Potrebnikova.

After that the presentations devoted to the novelties in IBM software were made.

Maxim Prokofiev – IBM Lotus (IBM EE/A) sales specialist presented news about Lotus software, including Notes/Domino, Sametime, Quickr, and portal technologies based on WebSphere Portal and IBM Workplace.

Then Alexey Sakharov – senior NETKOM specialist, told about data storage and backup technologies, including quick restoring after catastrophes using Tivoli Storage Manager and TSM FastBack.

IBM ECM partner network development representative Valeria Lunyakova described abilities and use-cases for building electronic archives based on DB2 Content Management, including search and classification capabilities.

In the final part of the seminar IBM business-partner solutions were presented.

Roman Romenskiy presented the information about main business directions of eQuality Solutions, with main focus into workflow automation using proprietary product eQuality FlexFlow.

Maxim Kolosov – director-general of ADB.RU explained usage of Lotus Domino as the corporate Web-server using CMS created by this company.

Many subjects were also discussed during informal conversation after the seminar.
